Terms and conditions


We can accept cancellations only when the student informs us at least two weeks prior to the start of the course. Cancellations can only be accepted when communicated by email. The fees will be reimbursed, minus € 20,- for administration. When payment has not been received we will charge € 20,- for administration.

Cancellations received later than 2 weeks prior to the first day of the course will be charged at 75% of the course fee.

For cancellations received on the first day of the course or during the course the full fee is due.

Subscription and intake

Are you an absolute beginner? Then there is no need for an intake. You can just contact us via mail or phone, to subscribe to one of our courses.

If you want to register for a Dutch course as a beginner+, an intermediate or advanced student (level A1+ and up), we wil first assess your level via a 20-minute call with one of our teachers Your starting level will be defined in CEFR-terms. After the intake call, you can sign up straight away for the advised course. The intake is included in the course fee.

To make an appointment for an intake, please contact us. Take Dutch reserves the right to cancel a course and refund you up to two weeks before the starting date.

Minimum and maximum number of students

Our groups are small with a maximum of 8 students and a minimum of 4. You will receive a Take Dutch confirmation mail at the latest 2 weeks before the group you registered for starts. If less than 4 people have registered we will offer you an alternative, or reimburse you immediately.


At the end of the course, you will receive an attendance certificate with your starting and attainment level, on condition that you have attended at least 75% of the lessons. Attendance certificates are included in the course fee. This is not an official diploma, only government institutions can award those.
